Overview

This table provides a quarterly trended view of length of stay metrics for hospice patients discharged from the selected facility and setting. The first row, ALOS, contains the metrics for the selected facility; the next rows provide state and county benchmarks for comparison in each quarter.

Selecting discharge source

The table only shows patients discharged from a single source setting at a time. You can select between Inpatient, Outpatient, or Skilled Nursing by clicking the selector as shown in the following image.

 A hospital will have claims for Inpatient and Outpatient. A SNF will have Skilled Nursing claims, and possibly Outpatient.
